I provide professional and bespoke one-to-one dog training for puppies, adult and senior dogs in the comfort of your own home. I work with you to create a specific programme suited to your dog’s needs and requirements.

My training covers a wide variety of day-to-day issues you might experience with your dog including:

• House and toilet training
• Out and about socialisation
• Handling and lead walking
• Recall
• Puppy biting

Working with your dog’s natural instincts and breed characteristics, I can help you train your dog to become a well-behaved and loving family member. I believe that best results can be achieved in a stress free and positive training environment, which is enjoyable for both you and your dog.

I am a Clever Dog Company® Method licensed trainer and have extensive training experience with the international lecturer and pet behaviour specialist Sarah Whitehead.

Based in South London, I am happy to work with dogs and owners in SE1, SE5, SE11, SW4, SW19 and SW14 (Kennington, Lambeth, Vauxhall, Pimlico, Waterloo, Bankside, Borough, South Bank, Bermondsey and London Bridge) areas of London.

I wanted to say a BIG thank you for your help in training Dougie. He’s a Scottie and he has a great personality, but sometimes thinks he’s in charge! Over just a few sessions, you gave us the confidence to set some ground rules and adopt a few handy tips to ensure he learns how to obey simple commands to help keep him safe and manageable – especially when we are out and about or around people or other dogs.

You have a great knack with puppies and established a bond with him really quickly. And taught us to be firm with Dougie – ‘no teeth!’, helping us see that what might be fun when he is a puppy is going to cause trouble later.

Thanks also for letting him join your walking group so he can learn how to be social with other dogs. Dougie is a real joy for us – all our family and friends think he’s a star. And a lot of that has to do with your training. I’d recommend your approach and wisdom on all topics doggy related to anyone who needs some help training their pooch!

We asked Jacqui to help us with Fergus, our then four-month old Border Terrier/Poodle Cross who was the usual puppy mixture of delight and nightmare. Four weeks later he is toilet trained (98%!), comes when called and walks well on the lead. Jacqui is completely professional but at the same time very friendly and approachable and I would recommend her without hesitation.

Jacqui’s experience, diligence and natural affinity with dogs really shows. She is renowned in our local area as the “go to” doggie person.

Boo - Dog Trainer South London

I had wanted a dog for years but, left to my own limited experience found it almost impossible to pick the right breed for my personality, my lifestyle and my living environment (an apartment in central London).

I didn’t fully appreciate when first meeting and talking to Jacqui how much of the enjoyment I could potentially have from my new dog rested firmly with me and not my new puppy.

Like many people in this internet age, I’d looked at plenty of Youtube videos covering dog training with the misguided thought that I could train my puppy through that medium. Unsurprisingly, it didn’t work out terribly successfully.

However, from our first free consultation, Boo (my puppy) developed a respectful bond with Jacqui and, to my surprise, clearly enjoyed the process of being trained – there is an awful lot of tail wagging going on. I’d given up on getting to get Boo go to shake paws – Jacqui had her doing this in the first 5 minutes.

Jacqui’s approach to positive dog training isn’t “one-size-fits-all”. A combination of discussing your needs and her knowledge of dog behaviour will result in you both agreeing an itinerary over a set number of sessions to train your new dog to be a great companion, family member and remove the stress that an untrained dog can create to the uninitiated owner/family.

Having separately tried group training, I’d certainly recommend one-on-one training with Jacqui – where you and Jacqui are both training your dog using Jacqui’s excellent and fun expertise to be the dog you always wanted.

Merkel - Puppy Trainer South London

Jacqui was excellent in diagnosing the root cause of our dog’s small behavioural issue we wanted help with. Jacqui has a very clear, simple approach to dealing with the issue and offered continual guidance and support over the weeks we worked together. We now have the tools and knowledge we need to keep up consistent training with Merkel to help become a much calmer dog. Overall, a brilliant service!

Sidney - Puppy Trainer South London

From the minute Sidney met her, I knew that she had a special connection with animals, her wisdom, calmness and patience have certainly paid dividends as he grows from puppyhood to adolescence – he is learning very quickly how to conduct himself in most circumstances and with a few more sessions, I am convinced we will have the best behaved dog on the block! Thanks Jacqui.

Lottie Dog Training London

Jackie was absolutely brilliant with our one-year-old cockerpoo Lottie. She’s helped us bring a lot more order and discipline to Lottie’s life – and did so in a fantastically fun way. I can honestly say that my partner and I as well as Lottie looked forward to and enjoyed each of the training sessions immensely. Thank you, Jackie.’ P,T & L x 🐶
